In this module participants will be introduced to the adult learning processes through the finding in book How People Learn: Brain, Mind, Experience and School. The information discussed is the challenges of developing expertise, teaching implications and four of the most important interdependent foci for effective learning. This is a self-paced course where you will review 2 sections with 12 pages discussing various ways to adopt and adapt research based learning theories. The course will go over the characteristics of an expert and novice, characteristics of learning, different types of thinking, teaching tips, ways to create effective learning environments, and ways to identify the environment. This course contains activities to assist in your understanding of the topic. The outcome from this course is to provide information of different ways to adopt and adapt researched based learning.
