Calculus I

Calculus I examines topics related to calculus: functions, graphs, limits, continuity, derivatives, antiderivatives and definite integrals. The final reference section will help students solve calculus problems long after the course is over.

Description

Calculus I examines functions, graphs, limits, continuity, derivatives and the integral. The first unit reviews elements of algebra needed to study calculus. Next, we examine functions, graphs, limits, and continuity. Understanding limits really begins the study of calculus. The third unit introduces and explains derivatives. The fourth unit makes visual sense of derivatives by discussing derivatives and graphs. The fifth unit introduces and explains antiderivatives and definite integrals. The course concludes with a reference section that provides a large collection of reference facts, geometry, and trigonometry that will help students solve calculus problems long after the course is over.
