In olden days, the number of electronics components that had been used in Automobiles was not predominant. Nowadays, the sensors and actuators that are infused into Automobiles are more in number. It is a very tedious process to read and measure those signals manually. As the Automobile industry moves towards autonomous driving conditions, good control is needed to support thick and thin. Hence, the need for a control system came into the picture. This is where “the control of vehicles� emerged as an important topic.    This course throws light on the basics of the control system and its related concepts of control in Electric Vehicles. Learning this course would enhance students’ knowledge of controllers and behavioural concepts of various control systems. Current Automotive market is moving towards the manufacturing and sales of Electric vehicles. Most of the Indian OEMs and their suppliers have started working on EV and its related application. Learning about the control algorithm and its relevance in EV/HEV will stand a good stead in the current job market.
